Australian actress and voice actress, known for her portrayals of Aeryn Sun in the science fiction series Farscape (1999-2003) and Vala Mal Doran in the science fiction series Stargate SG-1 (2004-2007), as well as Sharon "Shazza" Montgomery in the 2000 film Pitch Black. She has also had several prominent roles in video games, such as Chloe Frazer in the Uncharted series, the witch Morrigan in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Inquisition, and squadmate Samantha Byrne in Gears of War 3, Gears of War 4, and Gears of War 5. She also had a recurring role as Dahlia in The Originals (2015) and starred as Dr. Sabine Lommers in The CWs Containment (2016). Black was born and raised in a Jewish family in Sydney. She has lived in Australia, New Zealand, Spain, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Her parents are Australian medical academics Jules and Judy Black.
