On his return home in 1962 he returned to the University of Costa Rica as a full professor in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, a position he held for twelve years until 1974. From 1978 until January 1999 he worked as a teacher and coordinator courses in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics of the Autonomous School of Medical Sciences of Central America.
