Jawer Jeff

American professional astrologer, one of the founding members of AFAN and one of the Steering Committee. With a B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts, he is an accomplished lecturer and counselor most noted for his pioneering work in the field of Astrodrama. With a BA (Cum Laude) from the U. of Massachusetts, Jeff has been a professional astrologer since 1973. As a youth, he served in the U.S. Navy. Well known in the community as an innovative and dynamic teacher, writer and counselor, Jeff had lectured around the world and the U.S. He has co-authored four books and has written a regular forecast column for the Mountain Astrologer. He had made hundreds of radio and television appearances in the U.S. and Europe. Jawer had a short early marriage and a second marriage of three years after being together for three prior years. He met his third wife in Paris c. January 1988 and when they re-met at a conference on 8/03/1988, they fell in love. They had a civil marriage on 16 September 1989. Their daughter Laura was born on 20 August 1989, 8:23 PM, Grenoble, France, and their second daughter, Lyana, on 17 August 1991, 10:23 AM, Dunwoody, GA. On 4 May 1998, Jawer began work as the Vice-President in charge of operations at ACS in San Diego which had recently been sold by Maria Kay Simms to a business organization. Not finding the best fit for his talents, he left ACS on 19 February 1999 and began writing Sun-sign dailies for the Internet. Shortly after that, he teamed up with Rick Levine to found StarIQ.com, an astrology web portal. Early in January 2015 Jeff was diagnosed with lung cancer. A support fund, to help his family with the treatment cost, met a large response in the astrological community and raised the required amount in very few days.
