Powers Keith

American actor and model best known for his roles as Ronnie Devoe in BETs 2017 mini series The New Edition Story and Tyree in the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton. The oldest of four children, he started modelling at 9 years old, influenced by his mother, but developed a passion for sports. He played football as a wide receiver at Sheldon High School. After graduating in 2010, he moved to Los Angeles with his father to focus on modelling, signing with the Wilhemina Agency. He walked for Calvin Klein at the 2014 Mens Fashion Week in Milan, modelled in Sears and JCPenny ads, did a cover for Sketchers, and became the face of Aeropostale. In 2013 Powers landed a role in the movie House Party: Tonights the Night. After flying to South Africa for shooting, he fell in love with acting and decided to make it his main occupation. He played Gutta in the BET hip hop anthology series Tales, and Cameron Drake in the Netflix original film Reality High. He had a recurring role on the MTV series Faking It and has since become known for his part as Tyree in the film Straight Outta Compton.
