Her first novel "The Sophie Horowitz Story" was published in 1984, and it was followed two years later by publication of "Girls, Visions and Everything" (1986). A prolific writer, she has released her next three novels at two-year intervals. In the meantime, she contributes stories, articles, and essays to magazines and journals.
