Biography

Norwegian stage and screen actress, singer, and comedian who received the Leif Justers honorary prize (1988), Leonard Statuette (1998) and Komiprisen (2001, 2013). She has played at the Oslo revue theatre Chat Noir and at the National Theatre. She was a television presenter for the youth program series Midt i smørøyet at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, and has participated in several Swedish and Norwegian films. Schøyen is the daughter of television producer Eli Skolmen Ryg, niece of Norwegian actor Jon Skolmen, half-sister of actress Anne Ryg and ex-sister-in-law of comedian Harald Eia.
