In 1961 Vittoria de Sica cast him in "Two Women" and the next year he starred in Arthur Millers "A View From the Bridge." Although he slowed down in the 1990s, he played Cardinal Lamberti in the 1990 film "Godfather III" and then appeared in the 1999 "Toni."
