American screen actor known for his three-year stint on the WB TV series Gilmore Girls, playing Rory Gilmores love interest Jess Mariano from 2001 until his final appearance in 2006, and for his role as Peter Petrelli on the NBC TV series Heroes from 2006 to 2011. He currently stars as Jack Pearson in the NBC series This Is Us which premiered in September 2016. For his role as Pearson, Ventimiglia has received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Ventimiglia made his film debut playing a gay teenager in the anthology film Boys Life 2 (1997) before being cast in the short-lived Fox series Opposite Sex in 2000. His later roles include Richard Thorne on The WBs The Bedford Diaries, a recurring role as Meg Pryors love interest on NBCs American Dreams, and Rocky Balboas son (Rocky Jr.) in the sixth installment of the Rocky series, Rocky Balboa (2006). He also had roles in the horror film Pathology (2008) and Kiss of the Damned (2013). Ventimiglia and fellow former Gilmore Girls co-star Alexis Bledel were in a relationship from December 2002 to June 2006.
