Zeeuw Gijsbertvander

Dutch psychic and clairvoyant. He was the son of Gijsbert van der Zeeuw (17 May 1873 - ), inspector and later fruit-seller by profession and Hendrika Cornelia Versteeg ( 3 July 1880, Hazerswoude - 16 October 1956 20h00, Rijswijk), a housewife. They married 3 July 1907 in Hazerswoude and divorced 7 May 1928 in Hazerswoude. They got 5 children: Jannigje (24 March 1908, Den Haag), Cornelis (1 April 1909, Den Haag), Johanna Catharina (28 June 1911, Den Haag), Gijsbert (20 DEcember 1912, State hospital of Leiden), Pieter Johannes (28 June 1918, Den Haag and Johannes Theodorus (15 March 1922, Den Haag). He first worked as a printer according to the retrieved Act of Marriage. On 20 June 1934 he married at age 21 in Den Haag Anna van Schaik (26 May 1908- ), age 26, the daughter of Jaantje van Schaik. The father of Anna was not mentioned in the act. They divorced 3 January 1955 according to a notice on the retrieved act of marriage. On 1 February 1955 he married Elisabeth van Pelt (26 June 1927, Rotterdam) and they got two children: Peter Alexander (16 September 1956, Den Haag) and Sylvia Elisabeth (10 March 1961, Den Haag). The Dutch professor of parapsychology Henri van Praag mentions his book Paranornaal bewustzijn (Psychic awareness, 1975) as a classical case of clairvoyance. Van Praag cites his 1972 many times reprinted book "Helderziendheid in ruimte en tijd". The book was translated as Clairvoyant in Space and Time. In this book he made clear that after his marriage at age 26, he heard a voice that warned him that the pleasant clairvoyant dreams he had as a child, would be replaced by the other more grim aspects of the world. He had according to the voice shown to be a valid receiver as a child, seeing the happy animals in lost Paradise scenes, but now he should see the other aspects of life. He wrote about in several books on clairvoyance that were often reprinted. Gijsbert van der Zeeuw died 3 November 1981 in Den Haag. Read less
